Throughout my lifetime as a performer, the arts have taught me one thing above all else: no one shines alone. I've spent two decades directing and choreographing ensembles - actors, dancers, and performers who had to learn to trust each other completely, because the show only works if everyone does. A decade ago, I took that same conviction and built my own performing arts business, Wonderland Academy & Center for Performing Arts, from the ground up.

A stage is never lit by one spotlight for the whole show. It moves… finding whoever needs it, then handing off so someone else can shine. That's what separates an ensemble from a group of talented individuals: knowing when to step into your light, and when to take the supporting role that lets someone else take theirs.

I started Ensemble Work because I kept seeing the same disconnection in professional teams that I used to see in under-rehearsed casts: good people, talented individually, who hadn't yet learned to trust and rely on each other. The tools that build that trust in a theater (improvisation, active listening, "yes, and" thinking, leaving ego at the door) translate directly to a conference room.

What I care about most is what happens in the room during a workshop: the moment a team stops talking past each other and starts actually listening.
